Serum Albumin Pretreatment Level

**Note 1:** Elevated serum albumin is defined by ≥3.5 g/dL and is part of the Revised International Staging System (RISS). * Use the cut points listed in the table regardless of the lab’s reference range * A lab value expressed in grams per liter (g/L) is 10 times the same value expressed in g/dL; therefore, the cut point of 3.5 g/dL is equivalent to 35 g/L. **Note 2:** Record this data item based on a blood test performed at diagnosis (pre-treatment). In the absence of the lab test, a physician’s statement of the exact value can be used. Do not use findings from a urine test. **Note 3:** If there is no mention of the serum albumin, code 9.
