Chromosome 3 Status

Notes

**Note**: The loss of chromosome 3 (also termed loss of heterozygosity (LOH) in chromosome 3) is a common genetic abnormality in ocular melanoma. Monosomy 3 (i.e., only one copy of chromosome 3) has consistently been associated with death from metastasis in choroidal and ciliary body melanoma.
